Ještěd is centre with a hundred year tradition of winter sports within reach of Liberec public transportation system. It is situated only a 55-minute drive by car from the outskirts of Prague. An enclosed cable car rides to the top of Ještěd - panoramic views. Jumps that are the scene of world and continental cup competitions in jumping and Nordic combinations take place on Ještěd. There are also well-groomed ski runs for the demanding on the north-eastern slopes of the Ještěd.
