The founder of this castle was the nobleman Václav Budovec, who was beheaded in 1621 on the Old Town Square in Prague. Until 1945 the new owner of the castle was the House Wallenstein. At the end of the 17th century the castle was adapted in Baroque style by M.A. Canevalle. In the castle interiors you can see the original furniture, the large library originally from the castle in Duchcov, a model of a nearby rock castle and many other collections. The St. Anne chapel is the burial place of Albrecht of Wallenstein.
