There are two Romanesque churches in Poříčí nad Sázavou. Its landmark is the Church of St. Peter and Paul, which retained its original appearance up to the present days and the steeple of which is the local landmark. It was built in the late 12th century and changed only a little by later alterations. The look of the second, older Church of St. Gallus from 1230 was later changed by Baroque and then again by New Renaissance alterations. The church contains an original Romanesque crypt supported by 4 octagonal columns with capitals, one of the four similar ones in the Czech region.
