The Slapy dam (Okolí Prahy - jih)

Lake Slapy is a multipurpose reservoir built on the Vltava River about 40 km south of Prague. It represents the third major step of the Vltava Cascade of Reservoirs (Lipno, Orlík and Slapy). After its completion in 1954, the Slapy area became recreational and because of the lack of natural lakes in the country, it is heavily visited during summer.
