Jewish Street and Synagogue - Volyně (Strakonicko)

The street was built as a ghetto in the 17th or 18th century. In the 19th century the ghetto was accessible only through a gate in a house. Several houses are still preserved. The synagogue was built in 1838 ? 40 in place of an older synagogue. It is a valuable Classicist building with figural decorations and a clock. The Classicist aron-ha-kodesh is placed in the town museum.
