A small square memorial with inscribed year 1771 commemorates the largest treasure of gold coins - so called rainbows - hitherto found in Europe and the largest treasure trove of gold found in the Czech Republic. At the time of its discovery, the treasure was taken away by peasants, then recollected by local authorities partly by force, and almost entirely destroyed by remelting. Its fractional remains can be found in Czech National Museum and other collections.
The estimated original number of coins is no less than 7000 pieces with total weight of 30-40 kg of gold. The coins belonged among the first coined means of payment minted in this region by Celts in the late Iron Age. The treasure was originally stored in a bronze pail of South European origin. From the time of the finding, the place in the western bank of the shallow valley of the creek (a right-bank tributary of the Berounka river) has been called "The Golden Hole".
