The Rumburk Loreto is a copy of the Italian original. Anthony Florian Lichtenstein had it built by the master-builder John Lukas Hildebrandt in 1704-1709. The building is made of sandstone on the contrary to the marble original. The chapel of Our Lady of Loreto soon became a popular place of pilgrimage and many not only local pilgrims used to come here, but also the pilgrims from Lusatian Serbia.

Inside the chapel there is the Black Madonna with the Infant, which was made in Rome in 1694. In 1743-1749 around the Loreto there were built ambits with the Way of the Cross. The Way of the Cross is decorated with paintings motivated by the life of the Virgin Mary. Further on the complex includes the monastery Church of St. Lawrence and the former Capuchin monastery, where the Municipal Library has been established.
