The Town hall was rebuilt from the three original houses at the square in 1530. In 1772 the Renaissance style was replaced by Baroque elements - one arch of the arcade was added and the front was finished with attic gable. Since the time of Josef II there is the Vienna ell to provide a correct measure for the market buyers on the left side of the entrance. In the hall on the first floor there were theatre stage and dance floor. The final and essential restructure took place between 1969 and 1973 and a new facade of the Town hall was finished in 1999.
