Les Čertova Šlápota (Devil's Footprint) - Kolence (Jindřichův Hradec a Česká Kanada)

The wood to the south of Kolence is called Čertova Šlápota (Devil's Footprint). The name comes from a large boulder with an outline of a devil holding a boulder upon his head. Under the picture there are two cloven hoofs.
There is a legend about the picture: Once upon a time a devil bet with a priest that before the priest could serve a Mass in the church, he would bring this granite boulder from Rome to Novosedly. But he lost the bet, because when the priest finished the Mass, ha was still running through the wood of Kolenec. The devils throw the boulder down and stamped on it with his hoofs.
