Kumburk are the ruins of a gothic castle the beginning of the 14th century. It is situated on the top of a basalt hill near Nová Paka. In 1658 it was destroyed by the order of the Emperor Ferdinand III. Today there are preserved the remains of the main tower and the underground rooms. There is also memorial plaque of well-known poet Karel Hynek Mácha.
