Ruins of castle Říčany (Okolí Prahy - východ)

Říčany was a spectacular gothic castle of royal type. It was built at the end of 13th century by the chamberlain of the Czech Kingdom Mr.Ondřej from Říčany. The castle was occupied by Jan Žižka in 1420 and since the Thirty years war the castle has not been reconstructed. Today only a fragment of the castle ruin reminds it.
