Ruins of castle Vlčtejn (Plzeňsko)

Vlčtejn is a remnant of a Gothic castle from the 13th century. The Rosenberg family rebuilt it in the second half of the 14th century. In 1451, a peace treaty between the Catholic Strakonice Union and the Poděbrady Union led by Jiří of Poděbrady was signed there. At present, tourists can visit remnants of the castle with preserved double ditches and mounds, and walls of a one-storey palace.
