Ruins of castle Libštejn (Plzeňsko)
|
Libštejn lies 30 km far from Plzeň. It is a remnant of a Gothic castle from the 14th century. It was founded by Oldřich Tisa of Hedčany who was a burgrave of king Charles IV. Castle Libštejn was known for its torture chambers. Today, remnants of castle fortifications - Old and New Bastion can be seen there.
