Valey Porta Bohemica near Lovosice (Litoměřicko)

Porta Bohemica (The Gate of Bohemia) is a canyon-like valley of river Labe (Elbe) near Lovosice. The landscape has an uncommon character with a deep gap cut by the river Elbe. The magnificent panorama can be viewed from different places, one of them is the Varhošť Hill with a watchtower on the right bank of the river Elbe. On the left bank of Elbe there is an admirable rock formation called Vrkoč. In the rock behind, the biggest waterfall in the region can be visited.
