Castle Karlova Koruna (Charles Crown) - Chlumec nad Cidlinou (Hradec Králové a okolí)

The castle was built as the summer-seat of the Count František Ferdinand Kinský in 1721-23. The name comes from the Emperor Charles VI. In 1943 the Castle was damaged by fire. It was repaired in 1968 and in 1969 it was open to public as Exhibition of the National Gallery "Baroque in Bohemia". Today the Castle belongs to the Kinsky family again. The original exhibition was replaced by an interior with the history of the Kinsky´s. The Castle is surrounded by a 40 acres park with rare plants.
