Castle Přimda is one of the oldest stone castles in Czech republic, it is considered to be the second oldest after Prague castle. It was first mentioned in 1112. Between the 12th and the 14th century it was one of the most important king castles. There were also arrested several of Czech rulers. Later the castle lost its importance and it changed into a ruin. Today there are left rests of a monumental Romanesque tower.
